-Asked for a Refund and Got it - Do not accept nonsense!Tahir - 19 Aug 2011
My review is mainly on the Galleon Leisure Club and in part the Hotel. I had been a member of the club for 15 years but not anymore as I got a refund!.
Having asked the managers several times over many years to improve the cleanliness of the club and recently for shelves to be placed in the new mens showers, to place my soap dish and shampoo bottle, I was told by the owner in an abrupt manner that it was hygienic to place the soap and shampoo bottle on the floor. I strongly disagree.
He also told me that I could not discuss such matters with my member friends! I told him in no uncertain terms that I can discuss anything I like when I want with anyone inside or outside the club. Luckily we have free speech acts in the UK.
I told the owner it was direspectful to be called "brother!" constantly by one of their new hotel mangers each time I sat to read the papers and have coffee. I also told the manager I could not see how on earth we were brothers!
In short I asked him to refund my outstanding membersip fees. I got the cheque and I am pleased I left. Ask for a refund and don\'t put up with nonsense!
